Pandan Leaves

I have a lot of pandan plants. This is how they look like after some trimming section. It's not easy to trim them as their plants grow so vigorously.

On and off I cut two or three leaves for cooking. The leaves have very strong smell. Very nice aroma in cooking. Adding the leaves while cooking rice create aromatic white rice! Asian desserts use a lot of these leaves to create nice smell and as green food colouring!

How do you use this leaves in your cooking?

  1. I have never come across these leaves before. Do you actually eat them or do you remove them after your food is cooked?
