We are reaching the final quarter of the year 2016. How fast time flies! It shall be beginning of Monsoon rainy season soon but this year there might be a change. We are seeing a lot of weather change this year!

This suppose to be dry month, however we are seeing rain now and then. Even one or two thunderstorm too!

Anyway we shall enjoy all the season like the plants! Let's look at what's blooming in my garden!

The Gerbera in full bloom! Both pictures were taken in 1 week apart.

I had trimmed my powderpuff plant 4 months ago so much that it's not bouncing back again! However it produce few beautiful flowers!

As usual, the purple Duranta sending out a lot of flowers!

I just love my Costus! With minimum care they sent out so many
flowers!

Yellow everlasting flower of  Mussaenda ! The bloom last for few weeks!

Red Hibiscus !

Cape honeysuckles bud and flowers! They were given a heavy trimming too!

Potted Bougainvillea ! I think it's time for me to shift them to the ground!

GBBD - February 2014

Mussaenda luteola commonly known as little star from heaven!

It's great to have the sun shining all day long. But...... it's extremely very warm here! There is no rain for almost 2 months!

Everywhere I can hear people talking about how good to have a little shower! I wish for rain too! I feel so guilty now..... I was cursing the rain so much 2 months ago! It does too much damage to my little garden and now I regret for it.......I hope there will be rain!

I guess the flowering plants don't mind the hot sun! With watering done once a day they seems to be very happy!

Hibuscus must be the champion! They seems to be flowering so much now!

Plumeria is beyond my height to photograph them!

The Luteola

2 years ago I bought 2 pots of luteola. It was very small plant, may be just about 22cm height. Now Luteola have grown big.

The most interesting thing I like about this plant is the flowers. It has a yellow star shaped flowers with off white sepal. They look so unique.

Propagation of this plant can be done by semi wood cutting or air layering but so far I have no luck yet.

This plant require full sun. If you have space under the sun, try planting Luteola. It attack butterflies and humming birds to your garden!

So far no pest but I read somewhere that be aware of whiteflies.
