Sugarcane

Sugarcane juice is definitely delicious drinks during hot weather. I do not have machine to crush them and I don't see any shop who can crush the sugarcane to produce the juice for me at nearby area. So I opted to crush it using my own teeth. It was so juicy. I use to do that while young!

 I planted sugarcane at a corner to become support for the trellis. However now it serve more than the purpose! 

cabbages

Cabbages are progressing to form head. It's really a long wait to harvest cabbage. Almost 6 months. With pest around it's really a tough job!

I wonder how the farmers manage cabbages! I never succeed to plant cabbages on the ground. Too many pest attack. In my garden, cabbages are meant to be planted in the pot....

GBBD April 2015

I'm on time for GBBD for month of April.

The plants are doing well. It's hot in the morning till afternoon. We have shower in the evening. Practically this is the pattern and I'm happy with it.

The flowering plants seems to be happy to with abundance of sun ray and water. They give back a lot of flowers to cheer up the garden!

 The long lost Torenia is surfacing again in my garden! They are welcome!

Cape honeysuckle have bounce back after heavy trimming done.

Finally my survivor plant after heavy attack by pest! They have survived and flowering well!

soursop

This is my soursop tree. I plant the seed out of curiosity and the price tag shown for the fruit in market! It's absolutely expensive! I still remember to see this tree in neighbourhood while young! Those were the days when I can see many plant below the sun!

The tree has grown taller. I don't expect any fruit yet since i believe the tree is still young. I hope it will grow well and produce some fruits for us!

Mulberry

2 months back I trim down my mulberry plant. I could not resist to plant back the stems even though there were no space available to grow them at that moment. I decided to plant them outside the garden along the walkway of house. The soil here is hard and full of stones. Not so good place for planting.

Anyway I tried my luck. The mulberry must have struggle very hard here. They don't really grow well after 2 months . Nevertheless the produce some juicy fruit for us! What a survivor!

I shall buy some soils to rectify the problem.

Ginger

This ginger plant was planted from the ginger I bought in wet market. They are growing well at the shade under the Avocado plant.

last week rain and strong wind have knock down my trellis I made with unused gate. It make some damage to the ginger plant. I have saved some of them. They look healthy at the moment!

Ginger is used so much in Indian cooking as well as Ayurvedic application. They are beneficial rhizome to have at home.

lemon

Lemon or lime?

I'm not sure which is the correct word to describe this fruit. Nevertheless the plant is producing handful of harvest. Sometimes it ripe and drop down.

The juice of this fruit is very refreshing besides all the health benefits.
