fruits of mulberry

It's mulberry season in the garden!

Every time I trim them down, they bounce back with handful of fruits! The mulberry fruits have sweet and juicy taste.

I saw some eggs left on the leaves. I'm not sure the owner of the eggs but hopefully they are friendly to the garden!

Do you know who they are?

Pokok Kunyit

The initial turmeric plant grow from the tuber I throw away few years ago. Later the corner was modified to be waste area and I use to burn them. That cause the turmeric plant some heat shock I guess..... It went missing after some times.

After considering amount of pollution I'm creating to mother nature, I close the burning place and planted few plants. That was the time I realize that turmeric is no more to be seen. I bought some tuber form wet market and planted them in a pot. They must be happy growing in the pot. I saw few shoots of turmeric from mother plant.

I will transplant them to the ground this week.

I have planted 2 roses in the pot. Their bloom is so lovely! The flower must be so heavy that the branch was pulled down!

Bunga telang have invaded everywhere! Anyway I welcome them!

Tomatoes seedling

I have sowed quiet number of Tomato seeds. Currently I have 8 seedlings growing in small pots.

 I'm still thinking on which bed they should be transferred.  Previous attempt was all unsuccessful. All of them died , curl or the fruits rotten half way . I don't really have luck with Tomatoes......

Kangkung

After some absence, Kangkung is making a come back to my little garden. May be daily rain give them much strength to grow!

Papaya tree

Papaya tree is something very easy to be find in Malaysia. I would say every house in my hometown have them at home!

The fruits are so juicy and rich in vitamins!

I tried planting papaya tree few times however, monkeys always eat the young shoots end up the tree die after several attempt to survive failed.

Finally I was spared with 2 papaya trees. Unfortunately one turn out to be male papaya tree which can't bear any fruits. They can be only planted for Ornamental purposes. I'm not sure of another tree sex. The young shoot was eaten and it's quiet small.

I had a lot of young seedling but how to differentiate between male and female plant? Anyone have any tip?

Papaya male tree does produce beautiful flowers.

pokok misai kucing

Misai kucing or known as Orthosiphon stamineus is very beneficial herb. Locally it's also known as cat whiskers as the flowers resemble cat's whiskers.

The herbs are used for diabetic treatment, to reduce cholesterol, remove toxin from body, etc. The whole plants have great beneficial value. For simple treatment method, just boil the leaves and drink the water.

I bought this plant few weeks ago after knowing the goodness of this small herb!
