There are many birds visiting and have visited my garden. Mostly local birds. Some pick my seeds so I have to cover the newly sow seeds with mesh.
This bird is new to my garden. Do you know the species? It was quietly sitting on the swing rod and watching around. It look like king fisher to me but there is no fish pond around here......Have to bird lost route to it's house?

ReplyDeleteIt's a King Fisher Malar. In Malay we called Raja Udang atau Pekaka. Maybe the nest located somewhere around, nearest to your garden or maybe he/she aims for the flying insect..
