Banana fruit progress

Banana tree fruit progress is very slow. I wonder how farmers wait to harvest their banana fruits! It's such a long wait! However a bite on the fruit might console all the wait!

The tree is so tall! I could not get the correct angle photos due to the height and the leaves bloacking with each others!

The fruits are small at the moment. It's green in colour. The flower at the bottom has been plucked and cooked! Usually we need to cut the flower so that the tree will put the energy on the fruit production!

Let me see if I could get better photos in a few weeks time when the fruit grow a bit bigger!

  1. Yes, Malar. They grow so slowly, especially if they grown on the shady or part shady area. So, we removed all banana clump in our garden and then grow more productive plants.

  2. Our banana plant is just ornamental and will never have fruit. Does the plant die after fruiting?

    1. Not sure Sue but people will remove the tree after harvesting the fruits! We eat the internal banana trunk though...

  3. Oh I have a weird thought.

Do we need to cut some of our body parts in order that our most desired parts can grow stronger.
    How stupid I am.
