The bees are busy collecting nectar from the flowers early in the morning.

Butterfly peas flowers are everywhere! They are at the front yard with ginger plant

 Hibiscus flowers after a trimming section!

I have trim down most of the plants in the garden. Especially flowering plants like Hibiscus, cape honeysuckle and Duranta.

Flowers are showing a show now! I need to stop my busy life to smell them! Bees are ahead of me to smell them though...

belimbing

This is the first year that belimbing or starfruit tree has produce mass fruits. 

There are many fruits hanging on the tree. I try to pluck some to ripe it in door. The taste was not sweet. Their size are not as big as the store bought fruit.

The size is small but many fruits are available for harvesting!

This fruit is full of vitamin C .

papaya

I have 2 papaya trees in the garden. One turn out to be male papaya tree. It does not produce fruits. Only white flowers on elongated stem. There was another tree just closer to this tree. It was growing slowly as monkeys have eaten the young shot few times. 

I keep the male tree. Luckily the second tree turn out to be fruiting tree!  Currently it's producing some flowers. Hope it will produce few fruits!

mulberry

The Haze situation have become bad over the weekend. The API index stands at 190. Very unhealthy level. I heard it was due to Gunung Lokan jungle on fire in Indonesia on top of existing plantation burn down activities! Altogether we are breathing very bad air at the moment! Schools are closed today. It rains yesterday but not enough to bring down the thick haze.....

Plants don't mind haze! Mulberry plant have produce a lot of fruits after trimming section!

This is my harvest last Saturday. Bowl full of berries and few lemons. Most of them ripen . We stay indoor most of the time to avoid haze so I have overlooked the fruits. We can't finish it fast, so I decided to do Mulberry juice.

Combination of lemon and mulberry! Yummy taste of juice!

A bottle of thick mulberry cordial. Just mix with water and you have nice juice to drink without flavoring, colouring and preservative. The bottle was half full by evening when I took this photo!

Petola Harvest

Petola plants have been producing a lot of flowers! Most of them are male flowers. There are more male flowers compare to female flowers. There must be a reason for nature to produce many male than female flowers.....I wonder why...

Petola in the making! It look so promising! The garden is producing good harvest after so long! 

Petola has sweet taste. The flesh is white and soft. They taste good by just saute with garlic and onion! 

GBBD - September 2015

It's hot and added with haze from burning plantation in Indonesia. What a great combination! I can hardly breath properly! We choose to stay indoor! Every year we face this haze situation without fail! sigh......

Flowering plants don't mind on the haze I guess.... They keep producing flowers!

I have 2 varieties of Adeniums. One is pink and another is red. Both flowering at the moment!

I must have done something to this daisy! They seems to be flowering non stop! I never seen them this productive all this while! Does the carbon content or some chemical from haze feed them?

 I would like to share petola flowers too!

Angle Luffa

Petola or Angle luffa is back in my garden. At the moment they have started to sent out a lot of blooms. They are pretty in yellow! The flowers will bloom in the late evening. Night pollinator are required. In my garden , ants do the job!

Most of the flowers are male. Hope the female will bloom soon!

This vegetable has a sweet taste and have a soft and white texture. Looking forward for petola harvest!
