Chilies

I have problem to upload photos with blogger! This is very annoying! Every time I upload the picture goes missing or most of the time the the "upload" button does not appear! sigh.......

Anyway I will try again to upload later in the evening......

This is chili update. Most of my chili padi / small spicy chillies are doing well. I take some for my cooking and some I dry and put in my cabinet and rice container. Amazingly no ants or other sort of insert enter the containers and cabinet! Wow! It's really useful! I just wonder if it will work with the cockroaches...... I still see one or two of them even though I clean up the cabinet frequently...... arrggg...... any tips?




























These is young seedling of chillies. This is not chili padi. It's normal long and big chillies. I will transplant them soon to the ground.

Radish

I have very little experience with white radish. In past I seldom plant them and the roots that I manage to harvest are very small for my family meal! ;)

This new year 2013, I put more attention on root vegetables! For the start I planted radish in deep and big pot. So far the little seedling in 2 pots look good!
























The little leaves reminds me of  pak choi! I need to sow some pak choi seeds for my green leaves supply for year 2013!

What kind of plants you would like to put more attention this year?

Happy New Year 2013 Wishes

First MERRY CHRISTMAS to all Christian Bloggers! I was away too long to wish you all!

The 2012 Year is towards the end! I just can't believe it! We all have survived the Mayan prediction !

Soon we will enter new year of 2013. I believe blogger friends have written down new year resolution or may be the mind might have set some goal for the year 2013! Most of you have might have achived all the resolution for 2012!

My resolutions for 2013 ........a lot! As for the garden, I would like to have :

1) Individual and more organized vegetable bed. Something like vegetable farm! I need to purchase bricks first so that I can retain the soil and the fertilizers! Currently the rain have wash down most of my vegetable bed!

2) I would like to propagate more of flowering plants and trans-plant them near the entrance of my house! It's practically in sorry state now......

3) I will put more attention on pest and how to overcome them organically! Currently when I'm upset of so much pest, I just spray the pesticides! I should avoid this in future!

The list will go on and on............. How about you?

Bunch of Balsam

I have problem to access to blogspot! Do anyone else having same problem? The page don't appear and  I could not update my blog! I can't visit my fellow blogger blog and make comments!......sigh......

Anyway I would like to share my balsam plant with you! For about a year my balsam don't do well! No seeds were produced too! I thought that the end of Balsam in my garden. Surprisingly few months back they emerge back, compete with the grass and become lush! It produces so much of seed pods too!

Something must have make them change mind? May be they are pity to leave me! hahhaaa......

GBBD - Dec 2012

It's almost reaching to the end of year 2012! How fast time flies!

It's time to do new resolution for year 2013! I still remember during my schooling time, my teacher use to ask us to prepare resolution every year during the year end! The list will be endless! Till now I still do some list but I wonder how many do i really reach the goal! sigh!

This is the last GBBD for year 2012! Here are some flowers in my garden! It's raining everyday here in Malaysia! Too much rain i would say..... !

House plants - an update

I have collection of house plants at the enterance of my house. Most of them are let to survive on their own. I just water them and add fertilizer. Houseplant is somehow easy to maintain and they add vibrant colour to the garden.

The peacock plant close their leaf at night and open again in day time. Such an interesting plant to have !

The return of turmeric!

It's been 5 months since the turmeric stop sending the shots! I thought they were gone. It came and take a portion of my garden willingly from the turmeric that i throw away near my waste area.

Last month it started to put a lot of shots again! That's awesome!

Turmeric largely used in Indian cooking. It add flavour and colour to curry. Besides, it's natural powerful healer!
