This is my first time to plant Pak Choy. It was 100% germination. I have harvested most of them. The on left will be harvested this weekend! I do not know how to practice "cut and grow" method. Anyone to share the method?

Pak choy can grow back after cut? I see ppl selling whole plant in the market so i also pull out the whole plant to cook.
ReplyDeleteAltho' I normally do not pull out the whole plant, it still eventually dies. Cabbage regrows.

Pak choy do not sprout new shoots when you cut them, unless you cut the lower leaves which just make them continue to grow new shoots upwards...Anyone know if pak choy loves direct or shaded sunlight?
ReplyDeleteMalar you can cut some of the outer big leaves to harvest for "cut and come again". Leave the smaller leave alone.They will grow new leaves.

Pak Choy will prefer partial shade during very hot weather. They can grow in shade as well.
Bak choy from your own backyard for lunch ...must be so satisfying. I used to have sweet potato leaves from my backyard.
