Turmeric flower!

Why does Turmeric plant flowering? It doesn't need pollination for tuber development! May be just for exotic look!

This is my 2nd time seeing my Turmeric flowering!

    Maybe the amount of sun and rain we have now are good for the plants to flower.

    I have never seen real kunyit flowers. How old is your plant?

    hi,
    actually you can eat the kunyit flower as 'ulam-ulaman'. i think most of the malays exp in village know about this. It's really good for 'awet muda'.
