Pentas

The pink flower of Pentas really add colour to the garden. It's a butterfly host plant too!

Pentas is a genus from Rubiaceae family flowering plant. It's also known as star flower or star cluster flower! The name Pentas comes from greek name for five which refer to five lobes on the floral tube! My Pentas flower colour are in the vivid shade of pink but it's available in other colours too!!

  1. Pink pentas are lovely. They seem to open long enough for you to come back from work and photograph it ;-)

  3. I am not familiar with plant names other than vegetables..... haha. But pentas flowers look a little bit like ixora, the way little flowers cluster together, the flower stems and petals. ~bangchik
